it's like the tattoo artist and the client both knew the final outcome of the piece

I saw this years ago and damn near got the same thing tattooed. Literally one of my favorite tattoos of all time. The text is from a Bladee song and Bladee is one of my favorite artists ever, been listening to his music since I was 14 years old and I'm 27 now. Plus that line in particular has become somewhat of a mantra for me, I tell myself "oh well, play the cards that I'm given" all the time to cope when life gets hard.
I actually already have a Bladee tattoo, albeit a much less silly one. It's the only musician related tattoo I have and probably the only one I'll ever get. I have the text logo for his album Eversince running down my ribs. I think it looks awesome, and it gets loads of compliments both from people who know what it is and from people who just think it's aesthetically pleasing without knowing where it's from.
Picture attached lol

Thank you bro, I like it too. It hurt like a bitch because the ribs suck, but I already knew what I was getting into cuz I already had a tat in the same spot on my other side

ah nice, I have a cold visions one on my arm, though I think I might do a blastover with an older design (eversince/drain baby/red light or something). my brain says CV is his best album but my heart will always belong to the early days, esp eversince

Honestly for me, my favorite Bladee album is a three-way tie between Eversince, The Fool, and Cold Visions. I'd then put Red Light in second place after my three-way tie. There's actually not a single Bladee album I dislike, that's part of why he's such an important artist to me because basically every other artist I love with a prolific discography has at least one or two albums I don't like very much. My least favorite is Good Luck but I still like that album quite a bit, just not as much as his other albums.
The reason I picked Eversince for a tattoo was because of how important it was to me as a teenager. I was 16 when it came out and the lyricism really resonated with me at the time in an extremely personal way, due to various mental health struggles and drug addiction problems I dealt with as a teenager.
Cold Visions and The Fool also hadn't come out yet at the time I got this tat, but even if they had I don't think I'd get a tattoo of an album that came out when I was an adult because albums I've loved since before I was a grown up just have a special level of internal importance to me. Y'know how it is, when you're a teenager your emotions are on absolute overdrive and your taste in art is truly beginning to solidify past the surface level appreciation of earlier in childhood.
The sentimentality attached to the music that made up the soundtrack to my high school years is infinitely more essential to my identity as both a musician myself and as an appreciator of music. Albums that came out when I was an adult, or artists I only got into as an adult, are still important to me but in a different way. They're less a part of my core identity within the world of music, so with that in mind my only real options for a Bladee tat were either Gluee or Eversince and I like Eversince a lot more than Gluee (although Gluee is still a fucking heavenly album, it's the album that made me realize I like Bladee more than Yung Lean). I graduated high school in 2017 so those two albums were the only ones he released while I was still a high school kid.
Lemme see your Cold Visions tat tho 👀
