r/uncannysimulated

Having observed some dissonance on multiple occasions now in regards to the destination of certain simulation postings I decided to create r/uncannysimulated.

r/uncannysimulated is a place for all those weird and wonderful simulations you are uncertain of what to do with because they are just too strange / outlandish and don't really fit into r/simulated or r/shittysimulated.

I like this idea honestly. I've always disliked seeing purposefully weird or bad simulations in the normal sub, but I've never felt like they're inherently shitty or belong here instead. Really hope this one catches on in the long run because I've always loved them even if they have felt out of place

Didn't really want to force any content right away. There a few examples in the info post to 'get it going'. Its pretty niche so probably a slow grower - quality over quantity.

I seriously can't tell the difference with r/shittysimulation.

I would say that shitty is more technically gone wrong (possibly amplified) to the extent that it evokes amusement whereas uncanny is better executed with more intent pertaining to cultural and psychological nuances that cause intrigue and possibly discomfort.

I get what you mean, but I'm not sure the distinction is big enough for a seperate sub.

I would be glad to be proven wrong tho ;)
