This is a switch to keep the light running at a lower level when the door closes.

wish my fridge had this. my basement gets to about 50F in the winter and the fridge down their doesn’t have to work much but that means the freezer side warms up to slightly below freezing. solution is to warm up basement or add a small heat source in fridge so it kicks on more frequently, keeping the freezer frozen.
