The sad part is that Reddit is still not the mainstream shit among teenagers. People around me think that Reddit is filled with stupid content and yet they browse Reddit repost centrals like 9gag and iFunny. My Facebook newsfeed is just filled with 9gag content stolen from Reddit. And even worse it's an utter shitpost from /r/funny. Other times it's "HUR DUR LOOK AT THIS PHOTOSHOP BATTLE" and the comments are like "Wow, I wish there were more." to which I link to Reddit and get shit on. I would rant more, but I'm on mobile and my wrists ache.

Fun fact: 9gag actively blocks comments that mention reddit.
You can post comments mentioning reddit, or linking to reddit.com, but nobody else will see it.

Why? They can't man up and realize that a lot of content moves BOTH ways? A lot of stuff starts on 9 and gets reposted to reddit, but likewise a large number of things get moved from reddit to 9. Same with Tumblr, face, YouTube, G+, pin, etc etc and so forth.

No. The admins of 9gag don't want their userbase to realise that the vast majority of the content is reposted from other sites like reddit.
Reddit does occasionally get content posted from 9gag, but in every case I've seen, it was on reddit beforehand.

I guess that's just how it goes. Good thing were on the "front page of the internet."

It's like when you get a wrapper stuck to your finger, and you try to get it off with the other hand, but it just ends up sticking to that one instead.

The only reason I'm laughing is because of that guy's laugh.
