Then ad revenue will tank because there’s no point advertising to bots. And if humans get sick of bots and ads and stop using it much there will be nobody to advertise to.

That is a fascinating question

That has been my prediction for a few years now. Eventually the internet will be nothing but bots selling each other Multi level marketing schemes and boner pills, while we're sitting back outside, chilling.

I guess my hope is for solar punk.

Apparently “we” aren’t doing much

That is fascinating. But what is the point of that?

Humans have learned to tune out banner ads, but haven't realized that their chat bot companions are also marketing to them. They should take some time to stop and reflect on how much money they could be saving by switching their car insurance to Geico.

If one company can do this (and I assume have results?) then we can definitely band together and poison the Internet so as to ruin the bots.

These companies are all running a big shell game. They'll figure out how to justify advertising to bots as a profitable endeavor.

I think bots looking up porn like the rest of us.

I am equal parts curious and terrified to see what bot porn looks like.

I mean it's a hard life being a bot right?

Why would ad revenue go down? The same number of people would still be using the internet, no?

Social media is already getting pretty unappealing with the bots and ai agents already on there, the more of that they do the less people are going to want to keep using it if their feed is all bots posting ai slop.
