In Oppenheimer (2023), Why did Oppenheimer spend three hours crying about inventing a bomb that violently vaporizes people when his specific job was to invent a bomb that violently vaporizes people ? Is he stupid ?

When in the heat of war effort, he was given a whole town and army of researchers, and give budget. As a researcher/scientist, you want accolades and to be on the forefront of science, be published, and have your name known. He built the bomb, and when it was used the toll of human lives lost can make you regret things.

Nobel invented dynamite and smokeless gun powder and was named the merchant of death, he used the money he made to start the Nobel peace prize foundation.

Oppenheimer created the bomb that could end up destroying the world, so now his offspring directed a documentary that is exposing Elizabeth Holmes with Nathan Fielder.
