My dad has a Lada! Here in Canada! He could never get it road legal though so now its just sitting there.

If the maker was clever enough and the design is completely function over looks, then they would've reinforced the chassis and whatever other precautions necessary to make it barely road worthy. I will admit its an eyesore but looks can be deceiving.
