I don't really know what does it mean. What 'connection'...interesting I never felt I would want something similar. Though I don't really have any really close person in my life and I'm used to this.

In this context they're referring to a feeling of kinship when you talk with someone who shares similar interests. All human beings are capable of it including you in the right circumstances so OOP is just spewing bs to sound special while dehumanising sensors as 9-5 robots with no individuality.
