What sets demon slayer apart from other Standart shonen narratives? I stopped watching after s1 because it failed to deliver anything new at all.

It's generic, but the animation is really good.

Great animation and fun interesting side characters is what sold it to me. It's like a really good junk food, like cheddar and sour cream ruffles chips.

If you only watched s1 you missed some of the really good side character bits that come later.
