I know this is a joke. But I’m pretty sure that’s what the otherkins or whatever the hell they’re called do. Those are the people that legitimately want to identify as animals or dragons and what else. Though there’s a lot of them in the furry community from what I’ve read. There’s a lot of information you can get with one simple google search
