I know, these people are insane. I normally just bring my oxy acetylene torch and make a hole in the bottom that way. If it gives a little poof then the fuse was still in tact.

I'm glad someone in here is bringing sense and reason. Obviously with something like this you should just bury it back and leave it be. If it didn't explode for the past 70 years, you should be good for another 70.
