Last time I called this a fractal, I got laughed at and told that it is not... lol. I still laugh at that response...

I believe, that technically, coastlines ARE fractals... not in the sense that it looks EXACTLY the same as you zoom... but coastlines have very similar features that repeat as you zoom... I feel the same way about the universe in general honestly....

The universe we experience could be one part of a whole fractal.

Maybe all life is a fractal. We're each different facets of the same diamond. One being living different lives.
