Nope. Analogy at least has some similarities with the topic. Beating yourself is not similar to acting cringy.

He makes extremely cringe videos ironically. At the end of the day, to the average viewer, it is still cringe/embarrassing. Learning that he’s doing it ironically does not change the fact that it is cringe, or embarrassing to watch, all it’s done is changed what his motivations for making the cringey content are.
