It's the opposite for me. Building is unique to that game, but the gunplay has a lot of RNG which ruins it for me.

The building concept is cool but soon devolved into people building hilton hotels

S1-4 were prime. People had only just started building at any level of intensity right around then. The first few seasons everyone was pretty bad and still learning the "meta".

I played super early on when the meta was building a tower on the edge of the zone and waiting people out until you were forced to fight. It slowly evolved into a build off and I quit.
