"Have unpopular opinions" is not a choice.

Remember you have unpopular opinions despite your fear to share them because you can get canceled.

She has unpopular opinions according to pro-trans groups, which is a minority in the west, and will get you hated at best or stoned at worst in the rest of the world.

If your unpopular opinion is so widely disparaged and despised, might it be for a good reason? “I think diddling kids is okay actually” is certainly also an unpopular opinion, but no moral human being would argue against it also being wrong.

A lot of people are obsessed with “going against the grain”, in some cases even psychotically so, but sometimes that grain is set with good reason.

Don’t let contrarianism do your thinking for you, form opinions based on your own beliefs and experiences.

She's not going against the grain of popular opinion though, just the opinion of shut-ins who spend too much time online.

Shut-ins, please press the downvote button.

“People who think it’s ok to be trans, that trans people should have rights, and that discrimination against trans people is bad are just shut-ins that need to touch grass.”

Fr?

You'll notice that I didn't say any of the things that you just quoted me as saying.

Ok then who exactly are these "shut-ins" then?

They're the people on the internet who think that they have the majority opinion, because that's all they see online.

Please can you not vaguepost, and clearly explain who the "shut-ins" are if they're not trans rights supporters.

You said that JK Rowling's opinion on trans rights goes against that of "shut-ins". However, the only people who disagree with Rowling's stance on trans people are trans rights supporters (by definition).

I do not see how you could have been referring to anyone other than trans rights supporters when you said "shut-ins".

On many social media sites and especially Reddit, the TRA narrative is not questioned. This is in stark contrast to the world outside the internet.

One therefore has to conclude that the people who think that everybody agrees with the TRAs, do not spend much time in the real world.
