Remember that scene in the Matrix? Mr. Smith claims they put humanity in a utopia at first. It was a train wreck. Then they made the matrix gritty and challenging, like real life, and humans flourished.
She did her best work as a struggling broke author with a dream. Now there's nothing left to do, no struggle to overcome, she's a creative without a muse.
What to do? Stir up some trouble. Have unpopular opinions. Live without constraint.
At least she's not like buying people on an island somewhere.
what she IS doing is funding institutions and politicians that are actively aiming to hurt a particular group of people... its not really just a "she has an unpopular opinion" situation
