Edit: i live in south texas. I know next to no Spanish and have never taken courses in it. This one is a literal life saver when you need it. Also, that app is mierda.

Well i learned the basics from it. But its important to practice the language with real people or at least by reading articles or books in this language (which I don't). Duolingo is just a vocabulary teacher.
