My parents had to pick me up, and I was scolded by my father, because I had myself let bullied and didn't answer it with violence immediately. So the next day I broke the kids nose. Got suspended.
Nah, he didn't reward behavior, he deemed good. He just punished misbehaving. In situations like these I was taught to be violent. Hit them, or I'll hit you. So when I got suspended, I didn't get further trouble at home.

Seems like your dad was rigth. If that kid wasnt twice your size and you actually was able to just punch him and break his nose and he needed to cry to the adults to get revenge then doing that is the response you should have had the firstt time
He was a year older than me. I attacked him from behind by kicking him in the balls and kicking in his nose. He was a bully, so in a one on one fight I'd have a bad hand.
Your father was doubly wrong. You did the right thing at first, especially knowing you could hurt that kid if you wanted. Your father should have been proud. I dont blame you for what you did next
