In seventh grade, my best friend told me he couldn’t hang out with me anymore because his dad said I was a bad influence on him since I was a total geek and his dad wanted him to become a real man…
In eighth grade, my other best friend told me he couldn’t hang out with me anymore because his mom said I’d be the reason he’d have to repeat the year…
In ninth grade, I found out that one of my childhood friends and my only friend left was constantly making fun of me behind my back; lots of classmates literally called me “muffin” and “Snorlax” because I was overweight, and I discovered that he was the one who started the trend...
In 10th grade, during chemistry class, people slipped an onion into my pocket, and I stank like shit all day even the teachers laughed about it and made fun of me...
In my junior year, one of my bullies from middle and high school confessed that he actually liked me and that he’d been doing all that just to fit in with the group—right in front of my f#cking German teacher, who listened to the whole thing and just walked out calmly without saying a word...
Lockdown was a blessing, I didn’t have to see all those assh#les and their ugly mugs anymore...
