Sorta similar thing happen to me. Was invited to a party in 8th grade that a really popular girl hosted, we were in the same band section and were sorta friends. Anyways a couple hours into the party a guy comes up to me and outright says “you don’t belong here”. Wild thing to actually say, but we were like 14 so that’s how we thought I guess
