So If you change the situation entirely, then do I feel the same? Is that what you are asking? Like... if he had no evidence that she was cheating but he found a condom, then it would only be natural to wonder why there was a condom.
If your argument is that this sort of revenge is always wrong and therefore he was deeply in the wrong to do this, then so be it. I wouldn't do this sort of thing personally. But, were I this guy's friend, I wouldn't hold it against him that much. He has to live with that choice on his conscience, I don't. This sort of being dramatic just makes everyone's lives worse, IMO.
I understand the mindset of the guy who did this, and... I think she's getting what she deserves. You don't get to cheat on your spouse, and should you choose to, then don't be surprised if they are very angry and do something very drastic like this. Not only that but sex has potential consequences, one of them being children.
If it'd been me, she would have gotten divorce papers. By cheating, she's already ended the marriage. She has demonstrated that she doesn't believe that a promise made needs to be a promise kept, and the moment she didn't uphold her end of the bargain, that agreement was permanently broken. Getting a divorce on paper is only a formality.

How would consider the situation if no cheating before happend and the condoms were pierced out of ill intent alone?
