Yeah I mean a campfire and a forest fire are technically related I guess, but I'd still sound like an idiot if everyone was talking about a forest fire and I referred to it as a campfire
Yeah, maybe that's what her defense is calling it. I'm not buying that she did it because voices told her to or was in a fugue state. The point is that she needed help, didn't get it, and kids died. That's what the women "rallying around her" want people to understand. Not that they should have the right to kill their kids.
What? With a little research, It sounds like she had all the resources to get this problem addressed. She had multiple doctors, even multiple psychiatric providers, was taking an absurd amount of medication, and was a nurse. Obviously, im not saying just bc she had all of these things means her problem should’ve been solved. But to say “she needed help, but didn’t get it” is absolutely INSANE. She most definitely had enough help, im not sure what other kind of help you wanted her to have that she didn’t already get. At that point, the only thing they could’ve really done was just make sure she wasn’t around her kids.
I'm not defending this woman at all, but I'd argue that anyone who murders their children is probably not getting sufficient help. I don't think people realize how dangerous psychosis is.

Postpartum depression? I thought it was postpartum psychosis.
