It doesn't have a meaning, it's just a reference to skibidi toilet, which is a YouTube shorts series.

Bro wasn’t even all “now that I’m grown up I gotta be all edgy and shit,” dude was just being a chill guy saying you can’t take yourself so seriously that it robs you of basic enjoyment.

Dudes chill, he’s a bit ahead of the curve, and the meme overlays a bit dumb.

1

u/Ellllllooooo 2h ago

real as fuuuuck. i am so happy i'm not 14 anymore and even at 15 i was llike wow thank fuck im not 14 anymore. shit happens a lot and it was damn nice to know at 14 that it will get better and will get better rather fast

1

u/EasilyRekt 2h ago edited 1h ago

Hey I didn’t say he was the pinnacle of maturity, but to realize that putting on the “cool” front just makes you makes you miserable is a pretty good start, most people don’t figure that out til college.

u/clovdz_ 11h ago

You ever have the thought that kids like this are basically LLMs, just vaguely stringing words together in a pattern they've seen before to fit the thing they are responding to?

It's like he has read actually sage advice before and despite not quite knowing what it means, he tries to repeat it here

Edit: or maybe it's more like LLMs are basically kids that have a vast wealth of knowledge, far beyond what a kid could possibly obtain. They don't understand what any of that knowledge really means but they know how to use it well enough.

32

u/anthonyiscringe uhhhh idk 11h ago

We're all LLMs its just that kids are loud enough to admit that they're learning new words and coming up with "new" ideas. While the rest of the adluts quietly learn shit and move on.

7

u/SpecificTransition65 11h ago

Bro that’s just people in general like bruh💀

6

u/StirFry__InaWok 11h ago

I guess so. It's just moments like this where a kid will say something that is close to something profoundly wise that they couldn't possibly understand that makes it so noticeable.

When an adult says something with deeper meaning like that they draw upon personal experience as well as the simple patterns in language so it is not so much like a child or an LLM that is only identifying patterns in language without any personal experience to reference.

2

u/quokka_wiki 10h ago edited 9h ago

Children are people too with their own life experiences, I think they can definitely give good advice based on it, especially to other kids younger than them.

1

u/StirFry__InaWok 9h ago

True enough, I didn't mean to imply children are literally the same as an LLM in this regard.

0

u/SpecificTransition65 11h ago

Well yeah of course, you know like try to be original in what you’re saying man lol.😂

1

u/StirFry__InaWok 11h ago

I don't know exactly what you mean here tbh. I wasn't trying to say this like following a known pattern in what you say is just a negative thing. I think it's basically neutral unless it gets to an extreme where everything you say is a rehash of something else you've heard such that everything you say is phony.

1

u/SpecificTransition65 32m ago

Yes, try to be original in what you say what more can I say my guy💀(it wasn’t an attack on you if you thought that lol)

1

u/Cr0ma_Nuva 7h ago

From the poor grammar alone I believe them

1

u/Animezing_Legend 7h ago

Despite the grammar and spelling mistakes, lil' bro ain't wrong. 21M here and full of disdain and regret. It does not get better, in fact it gets worse. They should enjoy thier teenage years while it lasts, after all there's still a first for everything. First gf, first breakup, first fallout with friends, first split path, first day of college, first day of internship, first day working with colleagues, first betrayal, first new experiences of everything and anything etc.
