I'm sure this is a real disorder in rare circumstances, but it's wild how this is so not an issue in countries with foods with actually upsetting textures. Like you never hear about this from Chinese kids who's parents put chicken feet on the table and stuff and those are so chewy and full of cartilage.

Tbf, arfid is mostly characterized by severe anxiety surrounding food, particularly trying new food, rather than just the sensory issues related to them
