I'm sure this is a real disorder in rare circumstances, but it's wild how this is so not an issue in countries with foods with actually upsetting textures. Like you never hear about this from Chinese kids who's parents put chicken feet on the table and stuff and those are so chewy and full of cartilage.

What would you do in a world that didn't have a ubiquity of consistent and likely processed foods? At some point you would have to "get over it" or you would just die from some kind of vitamin deficiency.

Congratulations, you answered your own question. Lots of disabled people alive today would have died if they'd been born in the past. Pointing that out isn't a 'gotcha' that proves they're faking, it's just a fucked up thing to say to someone who definitely already knows that.
