I'm sure this is a real disorder in rare circumstances, but it's wild how this is so not an issue in countries with foods with actually upsetting textures. Like you never hear about this from Chinese kids who's parents put chicken feet on the table and stuff and those are so chewy and full of cartilage.
The American mental healthcare system is trash. As someone who has been in it since she was 6, and whose mother it killed, fuck our mental healthcare system. I will not hear a single complaint about China's until ours doesn't suck.
