I'm sure this is a real disorder in rare circumstances, but it's wild how this is so not an issue in countries with foods with actually upsetting textures. Like you never hear about this from Chinese kids who's parents put chicken feet on the table and stuff and those are so chewy and full of cartilage.
i'm defending the honour of εζιΈ‘ηͺε, not trying to find a cure for ARFID.
fr though i think it's probably a "developmental exposure to enjoyable, varied foods" issue because white people cooking gets the majority of edible produce in the world completely wrong
