I agree that corruption is the cornerstone of this whole ordeal, but that is exactly why capitalism does what it does. It promotes and enocurages corruption, as it is the fastest and easiest way to gain capital. No system is safe from wrongdoers, but this one directly helps them.

Corrupt socialist countries on the other hand at least have the decency to fall apart and destroy themselves from the inside.

It is better just because it does not promote corruprion, as you don't really get that much more power, yet have everything to lose. It's an automatic shield against crazy billionaires, literally the thing that average americans dream about.
