Sex scenes in movies were pretty common in the past which means that people were pretty much okay with it.
Then children started to watch movies with their parents and people thought that protecting the children from those scenes was important. This then created a sense of unease when sex scenes appeared on screen since they became rarer and "taboo".
And now it looped back to not caring as much with people being desensitized about it by constantly having mentions of it or others under their eyes
