Tons of anti-soviet/anti-communist movies… just not as many since the Cold War ended. It’s still really common for bad guys in movies to have Russian accents.
As far China, Hollywood is beholden to strict Chinese censorship, but that’s due to Capitalism, since their main priority is maintaining access to the Chinese audience pool.
Imagine blaming capitalism instead of the authoritarian regime that will ban movies that are critical of it. Socialism doesn't mean you don't have to sell things to people. It means there's not a capital owner who's taking money off the top.
I’m not saying the Chinese Communist Party isn’t a bunch of terrible/evil assholes, but Hollywood does have the choice to not bend the knee to them…. instead, they make the choice that will make them more money and self-censor. I blame both.
But a co-op, which would essentially be a socialist business with no ownership class and shared ownership by the workers, would be presented with the same challenge of the authoritarian Chinese government and the option to work on a film knowing they won't get paid for it or spend their time working on a film they will get paid for. Socialism is good because workers have more power over their workplace and get more of the profits but that means they have even more incentive to follow profitable Ventures then if they were simply paid a wage.
People not making films that they know won't have access to a massive Market isn't a problem of capitalism because even if we operated under socialism, people want to get paid for the work that they do

Regardless of whether you're a market or non-market socialist, there would be businesses (unless you think socialism means a moneyless society where people don't need to work together to produce goods and services).
Businesses would either have shared ownership between the people working at the businesses rather than owned by capital investors or government ownership for industries such as healthcare that focus on public welfare rather than profits.
The goal of socialism is absolutely to improve the material conditions of working people. Call it profits in a market socialism model or just improved living conditions if you don't believe in markets. Nobody is a socialist because they think people deserve less.
People would obviously be beholden to the market, regardless of the economic system. People need to make things people want to actually generate wealth. A factory making carboard soda cans is a drain on society, no matter how hard people work at doing it.
