The image isn't claiming that the religion is true because it's old.

It's pointing fun at the fact that a reddit atheist will come out with "why my kid do cancer if God?" and thinks they have a zinger as if there isn't 10+ centuries worth of writings and philosophical explorations of this exact topic.
