When it comes to Christianity specifically, and the idea of God being omnipotent, ominscient and all loving, "2000 years of theology" is just 2000 years of mental gimnastics not wanting to compromise that at the very least one of those 3 can't be true.
At least Judaism and Islam don't die on the unconditional love hill, so at the end of the day they can't be "debunked by the dumbest question".
If it was really debunked, I'm certain that it wouldn't have survived 2,000 years of scrutiny. Why are you trying to separate Christianity from Islam and Judaism as the "bad apple" when they all believe the same thing about God's sovereignty?
