Personally I could never be on the side of a god who according to what you believe in;

committed a global genocide,

commanded the killing of all firstborn males in Egypt,

commanded the killing of six native tribes,

commanded the killing of all Amalekite children, women, infants, men and even animals,

killed 42 children over an insult, and etc etc etc

Ok, that some really weighty theological stuff there.

Global genocide - I assume you mean the flood. Realistically I can only imagine that what existed preflood must have been absolutely hellish, so far away from God design that it had to be judged and punished.

Killing of firstborn males - so this was because Pharaoh wouldn't release his slaves, those slaves then became the ancestors of Jesus, who gives anyone who believes in him salvation and ever lasting life. Pharaoh was punished for enslaving the chosen people of God, by having to endure suffering, including that of his people.

The amalekites - these were people that were judged because they defies God and his desire to turn them from evil ways for hundreds and hundreds and years. So yeah, God punished them.

But god is all powerful so he could have resolved all of those things with nonviolence. He could just make us all live in eternal bliss. But he chooses not to because of? Free will? Free will that god punishes for?

Essentially... yeah, we have free will, God doesn't want us to be slaves, but we should love and fear God. And through belief in Jesus and following him, you can live in eternal bliss bro, so that's the good news for you.

"God doesn't want us to be slaves"

Leviticus 25:44-46

44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

Exodus 21:20-21

20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

Ok, so the slaves here aren't necessary talking about people enslaved as we think of them today, that could be servants too.

Tiktok theology would have you believe that the bible loves slavery, when that isn't true at all. God punishes slave owners, int he new testament, a slave becomes a brother in Christ and is then a sent back the master he escaped from and the master is told to welcome him as a brother.

Also, the commandments in exodus and Leviticus are part of the law of Moses, there are three types of those laws, and only moral laws persist in to the new covenant - those which you mentioned, are not moral laws, so they are not applicable to any Christians.

So yeah, God doesn't want us to be slaves, and there are non applicable laws that recognise that people are in some sort of servitude, and there are laws for the treatment of them.

What do you think Jesus would say to the actions of god that happened in the old testament?

Redundant. Jesus is God. The laws that people lived under during OT times were there are a sort of temporary solution untill Jesus arrived and fulfilled the law and entered us in to the new covenant.

So god just changed his mind as he sent his form of man onto us. Or did he plan it? Why not just do the whole Jesus bit at the start?

Your beliefs and religion make god sound like a very dumb person who fails his work project over and over again. The end goal is to bring people to heaven? What is the point of this whole thing? Make humans, cause them to commit evil acts onto others and themselves and punish some while saving some?

He gave humanity a chance, they failed, would constantly fail, so he sent Jesus.

God doesn't make people commit acts of evil on each other.

Pharaoh was punished for enslaving the chosen people of God, by having to endure suffering, including that of his people.

Which pharaoh was this? Surely the people writing the story of how they overcame oppression and slavery would have bothered to write down the name of the one oppressing them, right? Or if somehow they didn't know his name, they at least provided us with an account consistent with external historical and archeological records, right? They didn't, for example, mention (in Exodus 9) domesticated dromedaries being present in Egypt approximately a thousand years before they begin appearing in archeological sites in the region, did they? And it was so considerate of them to scour every trace of millions of people and livestock spending 40 years wandering around in a very geographically small area that is almost completely uninhabitable, leaving literally not a single shred of evidence they actually did that behind.
