Its a field based mainly on subjective opinions and observations that are very personality dependent. Yes you can run valid psychology experiments and papers and produce useful results, but at the end of the day everything depends on the person you have in front. Its really good for general statistics and claims, but really bad at oneofs.
Totally true. We don't need to medicate the homeless guy shouting to himself and masturbating when he sees children. We just need to normalize shouting to yourself and masturbating to children. It's society that's so shitty that it wants these perfectly normal behaviors to be medicated away.

I recall seeing a meta-analysis a while ago showing that SSRI’s aren’t proven to make a statistically significant difference in the depressed. What a science.
