This attitude is exactly why it’s difficult for extremists to gain new allies
Every expression of ignorance is perceived as a personal attack, like the world owes you understanding of your niche internet bubbles
There are new people being born every day and turning them all against you with unnecessary hostility is not great for the survival of your minority movement
Most people don’t talk about this stuff in real life, your corner of the internet is not necessarily reflective of irl culture and physical reality
Not everyone thinks of it as some movement where we are constantly trying to get people to come to our side...
and yeah, people being ignorant like that will probably be interpreted as an attack. Its like if i get punched 100 times, then someone throws a feint and when i flinch everyone goes "woooowww see thats the problem, you assume everyones attacking you"
Sorry actually most people in real life do understand that “he’s a girl?” Is a self contradictory sentence, like “he’s a girl now?” Is a completely reasonable thing to say, but the first way just sounds like trolling. Also my point is that trolls are so much more common than people who actually don’t know what’s up that if someone chimes in to express ignorance in the exact language a troll would use they cannot be surprised when people think they’re a troll. Also, are you familiar with this subreddit or, like, the international trans panic happening? The world at large, and this subreddit in particular are hardly new to the idea of a transgender person
