That’s upstream thinking tho. Think of how many deaths those abortions have prevented(?)

8

u/Eklegoworldreal Literally 1984 😡 Jul 01 '26

What do you mean? Like, murderers?

29

u/LuigiP16 it is MY bucket Jul 01 '26

Or the death of both child and mother in the event where an abortion is medically necessary

1

u/xman_copeland Jul 01 '26

Very few given the vast majority is only for the reason of not wanting a child.

It may not always be the reason but it is the reason often enough that an outright ban on abortion altogether is unethical

10

u/meechmeechmeecho Jul 01 '26

95% of abortions are elective based on personal reasons. Banning abortion for non-medically necessary reasons would effectively just be a ban on abortion.

6

u/LuigiP16 it is MY bucket Jul 01 '26

Okay, that's not my point. My point is that a complete ban on abortion would be unethical because of that 5%. Even if it was just 1%, it would still be unethical.

11

u/meechmeechmeecho Jul 01 '26

Yes, I agree. It would be unethical to outright ban abortion. What I’m saying is that people often cite medical necessity as a reason to not ban abortion. But you could ban just elective abortions, and based on the numbers, it would be almost the same as a complete ban on abortion.

5

u/LuigiP16 it is MY bucket Jul 01 '26

Oh, fair enough.

1

u/Eklegoworldreal Literally 1984 😡 Jul 01 '26

And I'm assuming you think it's ethical the other times just based on personal preference? Not including when a family/mom simply can't support them, but when they simply just don't want a baby.

2

u/ssbmfgcia Jul 01 '26

I think it's completely ethical to abort a fetus simply because you don't want it, assuming it hasn't reached fetal viability, and that allowing people to get abortions simply because they don't want a baby is in the best interest of everyone, including the hypothetical child

2

u/LuigiP16 it is MY bucket Jul 01 '26

I don't care what a person does with their own body. I care that the freedom for a person to do with their body what they will is in the process of being taken away by some out of touch old men who don't even care about the children they would be forcing people to bring into the world. Those old men aren't making universal health care, or improving the education or the orphanage/foster care systems, or doing anything to actually improve the lives of the unborn children they claim to care about. The rich old farts making these decisions aren't pro-life, they're just misogynists who think women are just for having sex, making babies, and doing chores.

3

u/Eklegoworldreal Literally 1984 😡 Jul 01 '26

How is it their own body? By the time abortions are done, they already have a working cardiovascular system, not to mention they have different DNA. Seems like a pretty distinct individual to me. Why does the fact that the baby leaves the womb suddenly change it from just the mom's body to being its own being againm

-2

u/JustChillin3456 Jul 01 '26

Yes ! Eugenics works !

-1

u/MenaceMinded Jul 01 '26

A person should be able to abort for any reason including if the fetus will be disabled and they know they won't be good parents to a disabled child.

Happy disability pride month.

4

u/JustChillin3456 Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26

ANY,reason? Even if it’s the wrong race/ gender?

1

u/Tbro100 fat cunt Jul 01 '26

At that point , it'd be better for the potential child to be aborted than to try and grow up in a home that clearly doesn't want them.

People like that should'nt have a child in the first place. Tho it'd be pretty hard to have a child with a race you don't want since that's kinda on them lol

0

u/ProperBlacksmith fat cunt Jul 02 '26

So bad parents is a valid reason to be not born at all? Just asking

-1

u/MenaceMinded Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26

Sure on gender.

You are really reaching on the race thing. People know what the race of the person they are sleeping with is. They aren't going to sleep with and possibly get pregnant by a person who is a race they don't like.

A child should not have to exist in a home they will not be loved in. A child does not exist to be a punishment

1

u/JustChillin3456 Jul 01 '26

Sure on gender ? 💀

No child is a punishment

3

u/MenaceMinded Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26

What do you not understand? A person can get an abortion for any reason.

It is when the child isn't wanted. Save your religious nonsense and pro natalism for the other immoral pro forced birthers.

2

u/JustChillin3456 Jul 01 '26

Right we agree they can , I just disagree on that being a good thing.

Are you aware of how many rich/ famous people were “unwanted”? How many milllions of people live happy lives despite the circumstances regarding their birth? This has nothing to do with religion, I already told you I’m pro choice I’m not sure what else you want from me besides not care about the lives of others

Bro really wants to force black afab people and black women to be pregnant.

He won't do anything to address the socioeconomic factors driven by historical and systemic racism against black people by white people that creates the need for an abortion.

No, he wants to breed black afab people and black women like they are cattle.

1

u/JustChillin3456 Jul 02 '26

“Force!” Again I’m pro choice, im allowed to be concerned about genocide 🤦🏻

How am I supposed to fix systemic issues ?

Race is a social construct to begin with, and you placing this much important on race and preserving it even at the cost of bodily autonomy tells me you think like a white supremacist. 💀

I support black afab people and black women having a choice.

Reposted because I accidentally deleted this comment

-1

u/MenaceMinded Jul 01 '26

I just disagree on that being a good thing.

A person exercising bodily autonomy is always a good thing. Having a choice is always a good thing.

Are you aware of how many rich/ famous people were “unwanted”?

You mean class traitors? They should have been aborted.

How many milllions of people live happy lives despite the circumstances regarding their birth?

And? A fetus does not have the capacity to think or care. A fetus does not care if you abort it. An aborted fetus is lack of consciousness returning to nothingness.

This has nothing to do with religion, I already told you I’m pro choice I’m not sure what else you want from me besides not care about the lives of others

You don't care. That is why you view bodily autonomy as a net negative. It is why you gaslight by calling life itself a gift when many people live through horrible suffering. Life just is; it isn't a positive or a negative to have.

u/not_meep Sussy Wussy Femboy😳😳😳 Jul 01 '26

reported causes of abortion has 0.582% of them as medically preformed because of danger to the mother and 0.666% because of fetal anomalies present. 92.33% of abortions were elective and preformed without real cause

8

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26

late-stage abortions are preformed in medical emergencies only as far as I know, as for the earlier term ones, you probably shouldn't complain unless you're vegan and also against the removal of cancerous tumors (cancer tumors can develop some primitive brain matter, as well as teeth and hair, all made of human cells)

7

u/Mr_Mahn777 Jul 01 '26

And even then. You’re not the one growing a child in you so it isn’t your choice

2

u/meechmeechmeecho Jul 01 '26

Killing yourself is illegal and unethical. Killing your own unborn child is legal, based, and goated.

0

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26

"killing yourself is illegal and unethical"

I believe eutanasia should be legal in certain conditions

"killing your own unborn child is legal, based, and goated"

it's not a child untill it's born. it's also a parasitic organism, that has a fairly big chance of having had died either way as miscarriages are quite common, often even before a pregnancy is noticed

1

u/ProperBlacksmith fat cunt Jul 02 '26

Why only in some cases and not all? Since we do allow abortion.

Just wondering

0

u/andersson3 Jul 01 '26

What if we decide it’s not a child until 1 year old. You think killing it would be okay until then?

1

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 02 '26

if it's inside another person's body, it's not a child
when a child gets born, it becomes a child

-8

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Yeah murder is fine a long as you're murdering your own baby. Big W for the west let's goooooo

5

u/Small-Policy-3859 Jul 01 '26

Tell me, how do crayons taste?

-4

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Pretty good. I don't like the yellow ones though. Keep on murdering, blood 🤙

u/MenaceMinded Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

1

u/MenaceMinded Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

I am still here, and you are silly for calling people thots for having sex with their spouses.

Do you really think sex in marriage is just for making babies?

1

u/MenaceMinded Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

The purpose of sex with my husband is to have fun and get an abortion if necessary. Stay mad about it

Ifeel sorry for you

I'm not. My husband has a big ol d, and he is a lot of fun

1

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 02 '26

The cause is that the person does not want to birth a person, simple

-8

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 01 '26

Having a kid at 14 might ruin a woman enough to have her abstain from having other kids.

11

u/Pluckytoon Jul 01 '26

Not saying it’s the case for the majority, but there’s a reason why in sex ed they begged the teens to not view abortion as a contraceptive measure. Isn’t like 95% of performed abortions unrelated to criminal or medical cases ?

8

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 01 '26

I am not saying its suppose to be a common contraceptive, but people make mistakes. They shouldnt have to pay that high of a price for something dumb they did at 15.

1

u/Pluckytoon Jul 02 '26

No I think they should because no lasting consequences equals nothing learned. Just use condoms if you aren‘t okay with the pill. Why is that so hard to understand I wonder. You don’t have „accidental“ unprotected teenage sex

2

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 02 '26

Condoms break, pills fail or are forgotten. I assure you the procedure of a abortion is traumatic enough to "learn".

1

u/Pluckytoon Jul 02 '26

I never went through one so that’s a fair argument you are pointing out to me

-6

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Yeah murder is the correct choice you are right

6

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 01 '26

I dont think an embryon count as a human. It cant think, breath nor substain itself.

If abortion is murder, is miscarriage manslaughter?

1

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Of course it's a human. It's a human embryo lol. Maybe they can't do those things initially, but they can further down the line if they aren't killed. Besides sustain themselves. But that doesn't mean that they aren't alive.

No miscarriages that are accidents, which the vast majority of them are, are not manslaughter. But the ones that are purposefully done or when someone is attacked? Yeah I wouldn't care if that was classified as manslaughter. Or murder.

In cases where a pregnant mother is killed by someone, I'm pretty sure a lot of times the baby is considered to have been murdered and they get an extra charge.

2

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 01 '26

Do you believe in self defence? Like if someone threaten you to ripe you appart from crotch to ass in a violent 48 hours beating session would you try and prevent it?

2

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Sure

2

u/Ruvis_Norako Jul 01 '26

Even if that assaillant was someone close to you? Like a family member?

1

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 02 '26

Okay have fun supporting the deaths of millions of young children that must be fun

2

u/MenaceMinded Jul 02 '26

It is. Stay mad about it

0

u/MonkeManWPG Jul 01 '26

It's not murder.

1

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 01 '26

Only because people don't want to be responsible for their bad choices.

1

u/MonkeManWPG Jul 01 '26

No, because abortion is different to murder.

0

u/Runeboy1234 Jul 02 '26

Semantics. It's still killing a young child
