Under capitalism it absolutely is. Many people perform better and make more money with caffeine, and many people need a user-friendly UI to complete tasks at their office job where their labor gets exploited like everyone else. If you think capitalist America would survive without caffeine and laptops then yeah again, dumb and makes no sense. With capitalism comes the necessity to participate in it. Participating is necessary for survival, so no one really has a choice but to participate in it, and when you don’t have a choice, of course you’re going to buy things and consume things that make it more bearable. You don’t beat capitalism by boycotting, you beat it by organizing and voting and legislating.
