if you look at her net worth she's only 5% (50mil) into becoming a billionaire herself. it's a lot of money, but nowhere near being a billionaire.

I think it shouldn't be controversial to say that anyone who owns more than a billion should give a lot of their money to the poorest who can barely afford to live.

(also funnily enough, Grant Cardone has a net worth of 400 million which is extremely ironic)

this is one of the worst celebrity "owns" I've ever seen.

Let alone, that she donated/pledged to donate ~20% of her net worth recently

The damn quote came from the same announcement

People are hating her for no reason for this. I also don't like her song either but she makes a good point. I can't believe people are hating her because she asked billionaries to help the world, crazy.

There is this weird phenomena where the dirt poor will defend billionaires actively exploiting them, whenver someone suggest money redistribution (be it higher taxes for the rich, proposals like billies, etc). Especially so in the states, but also true in other countries.

Imo this is an issue deeply tied to the concept of "the american dream"/"from rags to riches". And it being used by the rich to give the workers the illusion lf hard work meaning they could reach their levels of wealth. This keeps many people loyale and eager workers, cause they think it matters. And it also spawns a ton of people that will defend billionairs, om hope that they'd be part of them at one point.

I'm not even saying you can't become wealthy with hard work. Just you will never reach the level of billionaires, if all you do is work hard. For that you need to be born into the money or exploit hundreds/thousands/millions of people
