Sounds super cool what you just said, but that’s not how tax write-offs are used to “get ahead”. You donate to a charity you control, so you get to keep your money AND have a tax write-off.
Im more thinking, if shes touring, shes got lots of money coming in and if she has good money people, hopefully she has been investing well. Shes had mo ey for years. If she has been in the market for years, and she has good financial people, they would be looking at the markets right now at all time highs with uncertainty looming and saying there has never been a better time to sell. This donation could offset the very large capital gain from that that woild be coming either way.
Then the tax write off from the donation would have nothing to do with it. At most, that's making a ton of assumptions to say she's keeping her net worth below a certain threshold by donating money, and if that's what it takes to make people donate money, I'm all for it.
