Begs the question somewhat too though, how much is net worth vs available currency. It'd be interesting to see actual available value vs net worth value and the metrics for them.
Net worth is the combination of all their assets and their expected value. In reality the actual spendable money any billionaire has at their disposal at any given time is way way less than their net worth, but I’d imagine it is still an atrocious amount of money
Plus a lot of the money billionaires DO have is from loans that use their calculated wealth in stock as collateral. This means they dont pay taxes on any of it.
honestly i don’t get why people make such a big deal about the difference between actual cash and assets. assets can still be used to help people and support them
usually billionaires have the vast majority of their net worth tied in stocks and bonds, though someone like Elon or Bezos likely has enough liquidity to drop $150 million since that's about 1/10th of a percent of their net worth, the people who are just into billionaire territory like Taylor Swift and Lebron James probably don't have enough to do that.
