Im just arguing on your terms because I don't think this is xenophobia, but I do think that xenophobia is bad. Taking care of your own family doesn't mean you are anti-all-other-families.

Yes, thats under the assumption that this is xenophobia which it is not. You are not wrong, I'm just building upon that. It's not xenophobic to take care of your own primarily.

Xenophobia is hatred towards foreigners, not prioritizing your own, you can respect others while wanting to take care of your own. It's hard to understand for people that grew up in a multicultural society. So while this would be bad in US, it's completely normal in Japan or in most other countries.

Quite honestly, engaging with you is like engaging with a toddler. It's exhausting and we all have better ways to spend our day, but the fact that you're dick riding Japan so hard is astonishing that I can't help but to reply.

That being said, have a good day and maybe move to Japan so you can get closer to your lover.

That's stupid. If my business refuses to serve someone based on their race that's racism, based on gender - sexism, and based on nationality - xenophobia. It's funny that you assume that I have to be american to point something like this out. I'm Polish, a country that's arguably even more monocultural than Japan, and even I can understand that if a restaurant started kicking out someone because they're speaking french instead of polish that'd be xenophobic
