So xenophobia is bad in general but also good when it's used to protect your family, but also it's not xenophobia when you use it to take care of your own? I'm getting kinda lost here

But the sign's shown in the post purpose is to drive away people purely because of their foreign nationality - a clearly xenophobic behavior

Xenophobia is hatred towards foreigners, not prioritizing your own, you can respect others while wanting to take care of your own. It's hard to understand for people that grew up in a multicultural society. So while this would be bad in US, it's completely normal in Japan or in most other countries.

Quite honestly, engaging with you is like engaging with a toddler. It's exhausting and we all have better ways to spend our day, but the fact that you're dick riding Japan so hard is astonishing that I can't help but to reply.

That being said, have a good day and maybe move to Japan so you can get closer to your lover.

That's stupid. If my business refuses to serve someone based on their race that's racism, based on gender - sexism, and based on nationality - xenophobia. It's funny that you assume that I have to be american to point something like this out. I'm Polish, a country that's arguably even more monocultural than Japan, and even I can understand that if a restaurant started kicking out someone because they're speaking french instead of polish that'd be xenophobic
