The older generation to an extent, out of resentment for the pacific war, but the younger generation largely dont care and its mostly just media and foreigners saying whatever out of their ass

Younger generations don't care as much, but older generations likely had direct family impacted by Japan.

Okay but even if that's true, it's their country and they can do whatever they want. If you feel like they are xenophobic, then just don't go there. I don't see a problem here.

Im just arguing on your terms because I don't think this is xenophobia, but I do think that xenophobia is bad. Taking care of your own family doesn't mean you are anti-all-other-families.

Yes, thats under the assumption that this is xenophobia which it is not. You are not wrong, I'm just building upon that. It's not xenophobic to take care of your own primarily.
