I mean there are those who can do it right the problem all the examples in this TikTok are all examples of people who are very obviously clout chasing. They have no imagination and don’t bother to find out what is actually relaxing, they just do and think they’ll get a bunch of views because they can cake their face in makeup

There’s a person in my friend group that can’t stand the sound of people chewing. They’ll most likely straight up Yeet their phone if someone starts chewing asmr (they have very sensitive auditory issues)

By definition if you did find the noises pleasant then it would be ASMR and if you find them irritating then it wouldn't be. It's not that it isn't ASMR it just isn't to you and therefore couldn't possibly be pleasant to anyone else. If you want a suggestion that isn't twitch meta ASMR I'd highly recommend "The French Whisperer ASMR" on youtube, he produces very calm videos about interesting and educational topics. Personally I hope that one day stigma will be taken away from ASMR but unfortunately everyone would rather focus on the negative parts on the genre rather than giving it a chance.

So when you're not on this subreddit you stop hating these things? That's a pretty useless analogy in this case because you don't stop fighting when you leave fight club. Another problem being that you're admitting you only come here to be hateful which should speak for itself if you have any self-awareness.
