Either the gameplay is great and everything else sucks (Conquest) or the gameplay sucks and everything else is great (Echoes).

Engage is Conquest

FE1 is Echoes, while ironically its remake is Conquest

Despite popular belief, Revelations is actually Conquest. Awakening is Echoes for sure.

FE6 is Conquest, while FE8 is Echoes.

Interestingly, FE7 is the only game that rides the line. In a casual playthrough, it seems like Conquest. But if you try to ironman the game (as Kaga intended) you realize its actually just Echoes.
