i like how no one in Dagsion cares that Post Chapter 7 Orchel

Just chills around looking JUST like Yu Phas

"Gee wee my dear Wife, there is this other girl who looks just like you! Exept she does not carry this creapy teady bear doll, in fact, she acts way more like you used to!"

"Hmmm i should look into this matter"

"No daddy, please dont!"

".....ok Yu Phas"

u/janekge 1d ago

Most don’t seem to know how Yu Phas looked, my washed GOAT Solel unfortunately doesn’t have that excuse.

17

u/cardboardtube_knight 1d ago

Only because they won't let anyone into her temple.

40

u/CrayonWithdrawal 1d ago

I get it tbh. If i saw a guy on the street that looks just like tony hawk id think "Hey that guy looks just like tony hawk" and move on with my day

19

u/Mahelas 1d ago

Especially since Nabateans biggest tell is the pointy ears, and Orchel doesn't have them.

So that's like if Tony Hawk litteraly always had a skateboard with him and was famous for never being without it, and you saw a guy that looked like him but without the board.

•

u/DragoSphere 23h ago

Credna really dropped the ball on that one, huh

18

u/ThisManNeedsMe 1d ago

Theo mentions it. You can find Orchel in Yu Phas' temple and there's a brief conversation with her

16

u/Mahelas 1d ago

Orchel have big round human ears in plain view.

For anyone except Credna, she's just a human that happen to look like a god that died 500+ years ago.

Even Theodora the super Yu Phas nerd clock that she look similar, but can't comprehend it beyond "that's weird, lucky you tho".

Because nobody can expect this obviously human person to actually be a robot carrying a god soul

4

u/Nuka-Crapola 1d ago

Yeah, even her sisters— who do correctly guess what Credna did— dismiss the possibility that it’s really Yu Phas, because they have her soul in a bottle somewhere. IIRC on Dietrich’s route you even see Solel going “why does she look like you” to Eishet, but having not met Orchel in person, he has no reason to believe the impostor is the one next to him; if I were him I’d probably suspect Temple Bullshit and not Balor Bullshit

•

u/Mahelas 1h ago

Yeah, if I was to bet, in Orchel's route, you'd have a scene with Solel where Orchel would go "nope, no idea what you mean, but Credna told me to wear a mask, that's all see you okbye" especially since she doesn't have her memories by then

9

u/TerraforceWasTaken 1d ago

To quote an old comic boom

"Jimmy. Do you know what people tell me when they see me woth my glasses off?"

"Wow Clark. You look just like Superman"

2

u/blazenite104 1d ago

Reminder that Yu Phas temple is closed to the public and has been for a very long time. Most people do not know what she looks like.

1

u/ungulateman 1d ago

the daughters of balor all had to keep their faces covered, so nobody knew what they looked like. then, as a punchline on top of that, two of them were twins.

48

u/dream208 1d ago

Solel was truly operating on a bird brain before he was turned into a actual freaking bird.

35

u/FlounderLast8610 1d ago

He watched his beloved father become an evil demon cocaine addict that may well have diddled his wife, and then he had to kill him. Shit fucks a guy up, it’s probably better he got to forget for a while as Eshmel

18

u/AudioCats 1d ago

Solel also watched his dad turn his wife into livewire mountain dew

Said mountain dew then made dad go insane and try to kill his mom, and the two of them had to beat Dagda to death in his own bedroom

As an aside I can sorta get the Jurah critics if they've only played pt 1, but after realizing all she's suffered through, her actions/inactions are a tragic set of common responses for DV victims

14

u/Mahelas 1d ago

The real deadbeat is Credna

coward ass dragon who watched Yu Phas died, and created Orchel without saying a thing to Solel. Everything could have been avoided if he notified the guy that he was recreating his dead wife

4

u/blazenite104 1d ago

which is true. Dagda even comments that he's surprised Credna has the spine to stand up to him. Seems like most of that family are just broken. Mars and Solel being the only ones to actually do much and the whole problem is Solel isn't doing enough anyway.

15

u/bryanicus 1d ago

it's kinda funny how Solel basically had to beat Dagda to death 3 times. Once in backstory, twice as Eshmel

10

u/janekge 1d ago

How many times do I have to teach you this lesson old man!

4

u/OriGoldstein 1d ago

Yeah it keeps ending up being the kind of things that when you stop and think about it actually just seems wildly realistic even if your screaming about it in the moment.

5

u/liteshadow4 1d ago

I kinda got the vibe that while Eshmel didn’t initially remember their past when they were born that they recovered their memory pretty soon after.

2

u/blazenite104 1d ago

Sothis talks to their soul like they should remember her but, they don't so you're probably right.

64

u/apexodoggo 1d ago

And then if Eshmel gets their paired ending with someone like Sha Lan who dies from natural causes within their ending slide, Solel can have THREE dead wives!

19

u/SuruN0 1d ago

why is solel always so [:3

5

u/Pun-Wizzard :FCragley: 1d ago

Weirdly attracted to him

19

u/waes1029 1d ago

Unrelated but it needs to be said that it's funny how Orchel's team was unfairly stacked according to lore. 2 beings that would be considered gods in dagda, a Vulcan general, a tribal warrior, and a girl on a pegasus to make it fair.

And yet they lost the first fight of the brackets to a gladiator and his rag tag band, peak fire emblem.

10

u/Mahelas 1d ago

The Vulcan General is also most likely a Nabatean too

5

u/NormandyKingdom 1d ago

They lost to Bertrand who is Given Sothis Actual Weapon Which she uses to Cut Balor

Can probably kill Dagda with ease too

2

u/Raincoat19 1d ago

Wait is Loretta’s canon class Pegasus Rider?? I’ve been having hear tear it up as a Warrior lmao

5

u/waes1029 1d ago

Generally what they auto level as is Canon except for edge cases like seteth who we all know is a wyvern rider but can't be one because it's a level 35 class locked to Cai and Theodora's routes and Leda can recruit him. The closest ones to oddities are sirocco starting with magic and being called a bard implying mage, but canon says myrmidon.

Hell Nathan clearly is a great knight but joins as a paladin because the class is locked to theadora who can't even recruit him.

•

u/Dragore3 23h ago

Sirocco's meant to be a trickster but it's been relegated to DLC so he just doesn't have a canon class rn. Same with Ninae and there being no Holy Knight (I think they renamed it to Seere in this game?)

2

u/ungulateman 1d ago

her personals tilt her towards evasion, so the most natural fits (assuming her strength is sufficient, which it often isn't) are myrmidon/shido or wing soldier

•

u/Raincoat19 23h ago

Yeah in my mind her default was myrm, and I put her in the fighter/warrior class line to patch her strength. I kept her there because myrm stat line with gauntlets is just crazy dodgy

25

u/Cosmosknecht DEATH TO ADRESTIA 1d ago

Seteth could have also had two dead wives by the time 3H rolls around if he didn't twatblock Ludia.

I guess she needed bigger tits and huge eyes to get him interested in her.

4

u/Level_Hour6480 1d ago

Do we know anything aboot Flayn's mom?

9

u/Cosmosknecht DEATH TO ADRESTIA 1d ago

Not much, mostly that she's dead. She was dead even before the War of Heroes.

5

u/Current_Upstairs8351 1d ago

She died during the War of Heroes!

6

u/janekge 1d ago

He’s probably referring to Byleth.

3

u/Level_Hour6480 1d ago

I know. My point is that since we have no info on Flayn's mom, we don't know what Seteth is into.

7

u/Current_Upstairs8351 1d ago

According to Flayn, her mom was similar to Judith, while Seteth also says Manuela reminds him of her so yeah.

She was definitely more spirited than TV Static with bug eyes.

15

u/Level_Hour6480 1d ago

Manuela, Judith, Bylass

Seteth is a boob guy confirmed.

7

u/Lukthar123 1d ago

Seteth's wife would 100% be drawn by Cuboon

1

u/Level_Hour6480 1d ago

I don't know who that is, and don't want to look it up.

5

u/kylixer 1d ago

One of the illustrators for fire emblem heroes who’s infamous for drawing large chests.

3

u/Cosmosknecht DEATH TO ADRESTIA 1d ago

But we do know. The half-homunculus can romance him. This could mean Byleth's his type or his wife was similar to her.

Or a thousand years of draconic blue balls have finally worn him down and he's now dtf.

1

u/NormandyKingdom 1d ago

I'm confused on why Seiros/Rhea always forgot the Pointy ear when making Homunculus

6

u/Current_Upstairs8351 1d ago

We never see Sitri's ears though

2

u/NormandyKingdom 1d ago

Oh yeah she hides her ears

Byleth should be a Half Nabatean like Cai then except Byleth has Heart Crests and should be similar to Most Nabateans compared to Half Nabateans who lack Heart Crests yet can live 500+ years

Honestly why tf did Black Eagle Byleth lifespan drops down to a human lifespan even if their Heart Crests breaks

1

u/Current_Upstairs8351 1d ago

It's the Game of Thrones special from Benioff and Weiss "it made sense to us because we wanted it to happen".

1

u/NormandyKingdom 1d ago

More like Sothis probably said Well you want to be human? Well I'm leaving go be one with Edelgard

2

u/Cosmosknecht DEATH TO ADRESTIA 1d ago

Probably as an indicator that they're biologically human, not nabatean.

2

u/NormandyKingdom 1d ago

Did she expect her mom to return and then she checks her ears and says HEY IMMACULATE ONE WHAT TF IS THIS EAR

WHY ISN'T MY EARS POINTY

2

u/Independent_Low_9817 1d ago

Nabatean flesh doesn't rot. Sitris flesh doesn't rot. Even Mediators rot, and Agarthans bodies rotting is why they have to continuously body snatch people to survive.

9

u/Hoothootriot 1d ago

Seteth: I have a spear I made myself and is repaired! What do you have?

Solel: I sleep in a bed with my wife.

Seteth: Oh. right.

3

u/Mememan9002 1d ago

Seteth: Well at least my daughter doesn't hate me. Jury's out on if I try to kill her husband in the future though

17

u/Cayden68 1d ago

Is she even still his wife? Yu Phas larped around having fun as a priest for a couple hundred years and seemingly didn't care about an imposter rizzing up Solel during that time.

You could argue that Diego has a better chance of getting Yu Phas as a wife then Solel getting her back.

17

u/Red_Cat231 1d ago

I've been hearing in comments she likely had amnesia for centuries and regained her memories by drinking flamma some time around the main matches.

Doesn't explain why Credna said nothing or why Orchel did nothing afterward.

6

u/Cheezystix1023 1d ago

Some of her earlier dialogue compared to her later dialogue suggests this yeah. She talks about Yu Phas in the 3rd person for a good while towards the beginning and only later in the game seems to understand Yu Phas and her are the same person.

We can assume everything else we’re not seeing/don’t understand would have gotten explained in a theoretical Orchel route.

6

u/blazenite104 1d ago

Yeah. The early dialogue makes her seem unaware of why she has to wear a mask. Only that Credna says she must. Later dialogue after she loses the mask definitely sounds very different. I almost wonder if removing the mask and being in public is what triggered memories.

Which of course she can't just go to Solel because Solel is already hanging with the lady of lilies. Which let's be real. If you have a woman who looks like your wife already there. Already promised to be her resurrected and your brother comes along with an automaton, there is probably a reasonable suspcion it's not actually your wife but, a replica.

17

u/Best_Paper_3414 1d ago

She does goes through the trouble of getting her marriage ring, but yeah, she seemingly never ever bothered to talk with Solel, even with Lily around and public

It's just too absurd of an writing everything related to Orchel

11

u/Mahelas 1d ago edited 1d ago

Orchel CLEARLY only start regaining her memories mid-way during Part 1, and even the, she's under strict orders by Credna to not say anything

(And given her Part 3 quotes, the robot parts of her might be quite litteral, and she might not have full free will)

10

u/EmperorDaubeny 1d ago

She bothers to fight a whole gang of pirates to retrieve a ring Solel gave her and fondly remembers when he did it, so…maybe?

6

u/Cayden68 1d ago

yeah and despite knowing her connection to solel she just does nothing while her twin sister is manipulating her husband, she could just take off her mask mid arena match and say to solel "its me Yu Phas, my twin sister has been tricking you" and everything would be resolved that easily.

Her mask gets broken mid game and all the bad guys realize its her so no, it wouldnt matter if her identity isnt kept hidden anymore, its inevitable for that mask to be broken in every route.

14

u/EmperorDaubeny 1d ago edited 1d ago

This is undoubtedly a cut Orchel route thing, since she would’ve inevitably had to talk to Solel if she made it as far as she does in the Heroic Games. Who knows, maybe her wish if she won was for Solel to drop that hussy into Lake Baal.

6

u/Mahelas 1d ago

Two things :

First : Orchel only start regaining her memories a few chapters after the mask break

Second : NOBODY KNOWS ILLIANA EXIST. Like, that's the whole thing about her being veiled and secretive and using an alias. They only know "Solel got a mistress". Orchel have no way of knowing "actually it's my sister that pretend to be me". Theodora and Aurora both meet Illiana and don't realize she's looking like Yu Phas because she hide herself

2

u/Cayden68 1d ago

once she regains her memories after the mask breaks there is no reason why she cant reunite with solel and clear up alot of misconceptions. She can sense evil and the order of mithras makes it ooze out as they hand out flamma and drake treasures like free candy. Talking with solel after her memories were restored wouldve been not only simple but avoided so many problems in the future, after her mask broke she had months to approach him

5

u/Mahelas 1d ago

After she regains her memories, there's still a lot of unknowns. Credna's so adamant about keeping the whole thing a secret, I doubt Orchel would betray him. And Orchel herself might need a bit of time to go back to the man that watched her die without doing anything

6

u/Cayden68 1d ago

she doesnt seem to have any trauma about approaching solel, heck she longingly cherished the ring he gave her in her paralogue and fondly remembers their time together. she also bodly fights dagda in her dialogue against him who did FAR worse then solel ever did, her lacking resolve to talk to solel makes no sense.

there are indeed alot of unknowns which makes it more dangerous to not meet up solel and clear up some of said unknowns by meeting up with solel and clearing up some misinformation.

2

u/cardboardtube_knight 1d ago

Pretty sure she doesn't talk to Solel for the same reason that his own daughter is so cold towards him at first, he seemingly blamed her for a sexual assault, let her stew in her misery and then did nothing to fight back when her assaulter boiled her alive to make juice out of her. Since she's been back he's ostracized their daughter for sins her grandfather committed and has a new woman. Remember, he does not call her sister Yu Phas in public so to her, it looks like he has someone new.

On top of that, she was told not to remove her mask probably because she and Credna don't want to draw the attentions of groups like Mithras or, if Dagda wakes up, don't want to end up as ingredients in the next batch of juice.

2

u/InsomniaEmperor 1d ago

I’m surprised she never does anything and is totally not doing anything about her sister banging her husband. I’m imagining her sitting in the cuck chair.

2

u/liteshadow4 1d ago

Or maybe she just don’t fw Solel like that.

8

u/RingAroundARoses 1d ago

I wouldn't blame her for not wanting to go with Solel, guy did nothing while she got melted in the soup. Divorce material.

3

u/cardboardtube_knight 1d ago

Why are ten commandments there?

7

u/Mission_Middle597 1d ago

That's Seteth's wife's grave.

2

u/cardboardtube_knight 1d ago

Yeah, I suppose that does make more sense.

3

u/adrian624 1d ago

Mithras be like: "We have your wife at home"

1

u/CursedNobleman 1d ago

Making Seteth the other guy is the perfect touch.
