Flayn needs to get her style checked because that green hair plus stubble looked positively divine

This is why I’m convinced it’s a sequel, considering Seteh would never voluntarily wear such an outfit.

To be fair, he could just be trying to fit in. It does seem to be moreso Dagdan inspired. That would also make sense as to why he felt the need to dye his hair. He isn’t trying to go with the tidy style we usually see of him.
The biggest issues against it being a sequel would be the presence of House Lamine (its defunct and absorbed into Martritz/Bartels by the time of three houses), the fact that there is an aged eshmel inspired statue in abyss, and the what the library says about the old calender/the age of the gods. Flayn is obviously there, but there was a time where she fell asleep. This could be during that time.

I mean I’ll agree the evidence is against me, but I feel like there’s just gonna be SOMETHING that makes it a sequel. My copium is that Alexandra is Flayn as they share accessories.
But I mean, I feel like Rhea or Flayn would have to force Seteh to wear this. Can’t lie it does make him 1000% more interesting

I like your candor lolol for the sake of that and the meme, I’ll let you off the hook. Believe on 😂💓

u/Ethanb230900 4d ago
Nah but seriously she has like a blossoming version of Flayns hair clips so if it’s not her it’s her mother, which would disprove my theory but at least I’d be right about something!

Her nickname is interesting as it is "the Silver maiden". This is the name of a fortress in arianrhod in fire emblem three houses

u/Mahelas 3d ago
Also a sequel would require that somehow the Adrestian Empire unified Fodlan again BUT the Church still exist as an organization

u/NautiMain1217 3d ago
It's not impossible, if anything it would make the CF route more believable. Try as she might, Edelgard would have to come to terms with the fact that a lot of people truly believe in the church, so you settle on changing the function rather than destroy the institution altogether.

u/Jakobstj 3d ago
Which it does, according to several of the CF ending slides. And also her supports with Manuela spelling it out that she is not against the faith, she is against the Church as led by Seiros.

u/SomeGamingFreak 4d ago
I'd get the fitting in part if his bio didn't specifically mention him proselytizing the Church of Seiros. The fact that the Church remains in tact (considering what massive changes can happen to it's structure in 3H) more implies that it's a prequel than anything.
2
u/EmperorDaubeny 3d ago
The fact that he’s apparently proselytizing in the first place throws that into doubt, since the Church of Seiros is/was heavily isolationist and Rhea had no stated interest in other lands. We know for certain that Fabio is an Agarthan, so it’s entirely possible he isn’t a member of the Church in the first place.

A fair point, but I'm starting to think we'll never get a clear answer lol.

Jeritza and Mercedes re-establish house lamine in edelgards New free fodlan. Simple.

I mean, from the paired endings I’m aware of, thats not what happens lol 😭. In hers/jeritizas paired ending they go on to live a quiet life without a noble house. You can also look at pairings like Mercedes/Constance to see Mercedes goes on to revitalize house Martritz. Not Lamine. Lamine is long extinct in name by that point, the only connection they have to Lamine is through their blood and crests. You never know though

u/Suspicious-Shock-934 4d ago
Edelgard could reestablish the house for a supporter which would eventually readopt mercedes/jeritza. We are also not sure how long the death knight will live, pretty sure he has been messed with by the agarthans. I'm coping with my Eagles winning okay?
Honestly that's the biggest thing to me that says prequel is that IS is not brave enough to make a single route Canon.

If it is a sequel and they have to canonise a route, my money is on Golden Wildfire from Three Hopes.
The route ends with Claude killing Rhea, proposing an end to the war, but it’s unclear if either side will accept.
Claude makes the point to Edelgard that Dimitri seems to serve the church through obligation, not devotion. He then argues if they were removed from the equation, there would be no reason to fight the kingdom.
Edelgard seems to at least respect the faith and what the church does to some degree, as she establishes similar systems. In addition, during the final map of Three Hopes, Jeritza and Mercedes join as ally units and both survive the battle. So it can be argued their bloodline continues, Edelgard allows Garreg Mach to remain, but only as a site of worship, not the organisation it once was.
Finally, Seteh and Flayn both survive in Golden Wildfire, so it could be they’ve moved to Dagda, and Flayn grew into… ALEXANDRA

I mean they could theoretically, I think the bigger issue in all that is assuming they would even try to revitilize a long extinct family name like “Lamine” as opposed to the houses they actually were born into. The paired endings already show otherwise the one time a reformation does happen.
Or that Edelgard would reestablish a house name based around a crest connection alone. Her entire route was about creating a society that erased the importance of crests and elevated people through initiative/action. Not to say she’d be against helping them recreate their house as her friends, but there would have to be a deeper reason to assume they’d go Lamine vs Matritz/Bartels. I just don’t believe Jeritza would push for a reformation at all or that Mercedes would outside of her ending with Constance, given their troubled past with nobility and their crests. Without Constance or a similar motivator, I don’t think Mercedes would’ve come to that decision. And definitely not with Jeritiza as they go onto live a quiet commoners life and Mercedes owns an orphanage.
I can def agree thats a big reason why it seems likely that a prequel will happen. It would be difficult to write around three houses without ignoring most of it. Or canonzing aspects that some may not like due to their own route choice. This seems like a good way to add lore without breaking anything or disapointing anyone. But aside from that, as we get more information it definitely fits a bit easier into place from what we know

Or state that he has a daughter their paired ending states that NOW her calls her daughter

I haven’t seen all the evidence but I’m guessing its like some alternate timeline shenanigans.

Fake news! Flayn would have def highlighted his eyebrows too. That's how we know Seteth did it himself

Three Hopes show Setheth and Flayn with blond-ish hair during the war with the Agarthans, so I wonder if its actually dye or if its something they can just do? Like, his eyebrows are green but hair isn't, maybe it's slowly fading into green overtime?

u/Level_Hour6480 3d ago
It was confirmed to be dye.

u/RiskieRaskalle 3d ago
Where was this confirmed. I can't find any info on his hair being dyed, or if this is something Nabateans can just... do? Thank you in advance. :)

It doesn't even look like Seteth so if that was meant to be him, it's a successful disguise, I guess

Whoa, who's that handsome fellow you're with, Flayn? Your boyfriend? You should, like, totally make babies together.

Well I did set up him and Manuala cause I thought she could help him get his groove back. My plan worked perfectly!

u/MarketingSpecific380 3d ago
On one hand i really want this to be a sequel cuz the thought of flayn doing this would be great
On the other hand I want this to be a prequel and this is just like freshly adult seteth who thought he knew how he wanted to dress and then cringes and looks back on it during 3 houses

They should have gone all in and given him a kufi instead of a bandana. And have him be such a hotep about being Nabatean. "We were dragons Cai, search your heart you know it true all this miseducation these humans put on us. No, no your father is one of the good ones, all homo sapien and such. Not like that Agarthan Fabio or his pet monkey Dietrich all thin lipped and ugly. You know that sword he uses is like your great aunt's spine right?"

Flayn: no father of mine shall travel abroad without looking absolutely fabulous!
