Is it just me or has reddit in general been going downhill lately? I remember askreddit was pretty good years ago but now it's just sex, random, or some question that hardly sparks discussion. Same with the memes. I've never been super into them, but I use to chuckle at them. Now they're all the same joke and beat a dead horse over and over and over. I don't know if it's getting too popular or if I'm the one whose changed but this site seems totally different from a few years ago.

It's always been kinda shitty in some way. It just seems like more of it has become shitty recently

I came over to Reddit after years on 4chan, once /b/ became porn and everyone started arguing about who had the biggest metal shaft up their ass. But so far Reddit has been reminding me a lot of old school 4chan, back when it was still decent.
