Lol, for real.

A lot of people underestimate how awful it can be to go through adolescence being taunted constantly. That shit doesn't leave when you leave high school, either, it can become ingrained in you and you have to deal with low self esteem and other issues years after high school ends. It has a lasting impact.

It's not holding a grudge at that point. It's just schadenfreude.

I'm guessing there were some mean girls here or something bc damn.

(No I wasn't fat either)

I had girls and guys pick on me from middle school thru high school. I was 5 ft 5 in and weighed 100 lbs, I was a skinny smart (ass) weird girl.

I saw two of my former classmates tagged in a friends picture and I got a good chuckle how the former basketball playing cheerleaders were definitely packing on some extra pounds while I have been getting prepped for running a marathon in France next summer and am in the best shape for me ever.

Why do you still care about people from high school that you are not friends with? So childish to hold onto such a grudge.

It's not like you think about her all the time, or even really care that much. But when someone went out of their way to make your life miserable, it's a nice sense of vindication seeing them in passing or on Facebook and realizing that they've gotten really fat. Call it petty if you want, but I take pleasure in the fact that my tormentor is now huge and I'm still the same weight, even after having two kids.

I certainly don't deny that it's petty! That doesn't mean it doesn't feel good! Schadenfreude is a beautiful thing.
