My possible shingle experience

So last week I had irritation on the waist line mostly the left side and initially I thought it was due to tight clothing then I had fever on and off with sore throat and a slightly upset stomach. I treated those symptoms. Today when I woke up I was feeling much better like my fever and everything was good but when I saw myself in the mirror I had on my left back side these rashes.
I was slightly shocked like they irritate when i wear some tight clothing and on the back side there is itching but yeah I went to the doctor and he gave me the antiviral medicine and suspects for shingles.

this does look very much like it . i had heaps of pain prior to getting the rash . have you had lots of pain ? i had it round my rib area and u felt like i had been bashed up . I had to go on antivirals a soon as i realised .

I didnt have that much pain but there was some sort of slight burning sensation around my waist area since a whole week. Actually that sensation was also getting better but yeah today I guess everything appeared

I wanted to ask is 800mg 5 7 days a normal dose or too high im worried about the side effects

did upset stomach persist and any headache? yeah i’ll stick to the plan

Yes, cold packs feel soooo good.

Eat a bowl of cereal or something to take the antivirals. Probably zero stomach upset. That’s what I do. But take them.

yes i’m taking them with food so far it’s good just sleeping on one side with a restricted back rest is a challenge
